Our purpose

Why regenerative learning?

Our global civilization has been built in the premise that we humans are separate from nature and that we can exploit nature as if it was a simple store of resources to be used for unrestrained economic growth. We are running up against the limits of this illusion and we urgently need to rediscover the language of nature and regain an understanding of the ways in which we are interconnected and co-dependent with the greater community of life.

While our species has caused immense destruction to the living nature, we have the opportunity to choose how to proceed – to use our abilities to regenerate rather than destroy the possibilities for life. Regenerative learning is an ongoing process, a reflective effort to engage in nature’s conversation and learn the skills needed to live ecologically and responsibly on planet Earth.

Our mission

Our work aims to further ecoliteracy, the rights of nature, human scale livelihood and a view of nature that doesn’t see human beings as separate from the rest of the community of life

Regenerative Learning Lab

We offer a range of learning activities about sustainability, green transition, community action and ecoliteracy. For us, regeneration is the path to sustainability – it is how we *practice* sustainability
